Proposal for my magazine

Who are you aiming your magazine at specifically?
I am aiming my magazine at mainly 18-34 year old mixed genders since on my survey they were the ones who answered and suggested what they would like to see in there. With this being an Indie magazine it means that in general it is going to be aimed at people who like that type of music however because of what I found out it will be adapted to the sort of things this particular audience wants.

What kind of image to you expect to put on the front cover and how will you go about getting this image?
My in depth studies into already existing magazines show a high concentrations of whites, greys and reds. I will comply with this already running colour scheme because it is almost like magazine law. There is specific colours for each genre of music. Pop you will see brighter more child like colours whereas with Metal you will see duller more of a black scheme. As for the picture positioning itself I will have the model either in the centre or on the right hand side since I will need the plugs and pulls to be apparent on the left third. I will be looking for minimal makeup and high levels of a cream colour however not to much since I do want the background to be white so it would be impractical for the model to be wearing white or a too lighter cream. I would really like to incorporate flowers somewhere.

What genre will your music magazine be?
My magazine will be an Indie magazine.

What will your music magazine be about?
Well naturally, music. However I am going to focus on the aspect of the artists new album that has just been released. I will add in extras on the cover for example plugs for the indie top 40 and other artists successes.

What are your ideas for cover lines?
For the main cover line I am thinking about about a reference to the album or some form of play on words about the artist. I am going to avoid celebrity gossip at all costs and focus on the artists music. Other mini cover lines can include the updated indie top 40, other new releases and new and upcoming indie bands.

What title have you decided on and why?
I have decided on the title "Indie" In the font OCR A STD On the software in design however this is subject to change depending on the composition of my cover. Using this title will compensate for everything my survey asked for. It is short and snappy, It says what it is and it is eye catching. It also incorporates the red and the black. Below is an image.

What fonts do you want to use?
I want to use very formal fonts.

What are your ideas for tag lines?
Anything that links to the music industry. I'm avoiding to much gossip tho. New albums and new releases will be my main focus point.

When in the year will it be published?
Any time in the year. There is no seasonal theme

What are the dimensions for the cover?
Normal A4 dimensions

What Image/Colour would you use on the contents page?
I will link it to my cover so images of the cover girl and the colours that she is wearing.

What price will your magazine be?
