What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

In design has proved to be a really helpful tool when creating my music magazine parts. In design is an amazing editing tool from Adobe which resembles publisher from Microsoft but has a lot more in depth editing tools. It has given me the tools and the design knowledge I need to help put together the final product I have produced. On this software I have learned how to overlay fonts, create article style columns. Mixing this with the use of Photoshop I am able to make use of layers and other really helpful tools to create a realistic looking magazine cover. For example on the main cover I have the image of Hannah Merry. This is actually two of the same image. One of just Hannah and one of the entire main image in the background to create the illusion of one main image. The reason I did this was so I could place the image on top of the masthead like some NME covers do making the entire piece more believable.. I have also been using blogger to keep track of my progress. This has been a great tool to use since I am able to access and do my work from anywhere I am. Blogger is an online blogging platform used by millions of users to create a free blog. This allows people to see what you're doing or if you run a business you can use it to keep in contact with your customers. However, most people use it for talking about their life but we used it so both fellow students and our lecturers can access our work and it is also easy for the exam board to access. On Blogger we are able to schedule our work and design the theme so that it looks more professional than the pre-set layout. I liked having this feeling of making the site look my own. I have my own blog, so working blogger was an easy task for me and I ended up helping a lot of my peers sort out their own blogs coding and I helped them find their way around Blogger.
