Music Photography

Photoshop can't make a bad image good. But you can make a good image. There are a few rules you have to follow to achieve this.

The rules of music photography-
  • The rule of thirds- 
    1. Main subject put around the intersection points of the 9 boxes to create eye contact with the reader. This will create a personal connection with the reader. 
    2. Most covers will have the eyes of the over act looking out from the cover.

  • Use of lines- 
    1. Lines that can be found in images that are very powerful. They can add dynamic impact to an image through mood as well as how they direct the readers eyes. 
    2. Diagonal lines can draw the eyes in. They can also add action to the image- glass etc.


  • Angles- 
    1. Move yourself to create interesting angles
    2. High, low, left, right?


  • Focal points- 
    1. Use the focal point and depth of field to create an interesting point on the competition of
      the page. 
    2. Use a apiture of about f5 - f6.2 to create an interesting composition.
