- The rule of thirds-
- Main subject put around the intersection points of the 9 boxes to create eye contact with the reader. This will create a personal connection with the reader.
- Most covers will have the eyes of the over act looking out from the cover.
- Use of lines-
- Lines that can be found in images that are very powerful. They can add dynamic impact to an image through mood as well as how they direct the readers eyes.
- Diagonal lines can draw the eyes in. They can also add action to the image- glass etc.
- Angles-
- Move yourself to create interesting angles
- High, low, left, right?
- Focal points-
- Use the focal point and depth of field to create an interesting point on the competition of the page.
- Use a apiture of about f5 - f6.2 to create an interesting composition.
